Booking & Getting Started
How do I book a trip?
Pick a date on the Book page, or call or text 360-442-3943 and Jacob will set you up directly.
How far in advance should I book?
Spring Chinook books up fastest — the season's short. Summer and Fall have more flexibility, but weekends go quick.
How many people can come on a trip?
The boat seats 6 anglers. Got a bigger group? Just let Jacob know.
What are your rates?
$260 per seat, every season — and it drops when you bring friends: $240 each for two anglers, $235 each for three or more. Seats are sold individually, so you only pay for the people in your group.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes — angler gift packages for one, two, or the whole boat, good for any season and they never expire. Buy one on the Gift Cards page; you'll get a printable card with a code right after payment. To redeem, the recipient calls or texts Jacob with the code to pick a date.
How does payment work?
A $60 per-angler deposit is paid online when you book — that holds your seats. The rest is paid to Jacob on the day of your trip.
Can I come by myself, or will I share the boat?
Solo anglers are welcome — book a single seat and you may be paired with other anglers that day. If you'd rather have the boat to yourselves, add the open seats to your booking for $25 each and the day is private.
What to Know Before You Go
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes — a valid Washington fishing license and catch card. Available online through WDFW or most tackle shops.
Is fishing gear provided?
Yes — rods, reels, tackle and all safety gear. Just bring your license, weather-ready layers, and yourself.
What safety equipment is on board?
A USCG-approved life jacket for every angler. Required at all times for anyone under 14.
What's your policy on alcohol and drugs?
Stay sober enough to handle an emergency. Note: recreational marijuana isn't permitted on the Columbia River, even where legal under state law.
What should I bring?
License and catch card, warm layers, polarized sunglasses, and a cooler if you want to take fish home.
On the Water
What if the weather turns bad?
Safety comes first. If Jacob has to cancel for weather or river conditions, you'll get a full refund of your deposit or a new date — your choice.
Can I cancel or reschedule if my plans change?
Yes. Cancel more than 72 hours before your trip and your deposit is fully refunded. Within 72 hours of departure, the deposit is non-refundable. Reach out as soon as you know — call, text, or email — and Jacob will work with you on a new date where he can. The full policy is in the Booking Agreement linked in the footer.
I've never fished for salmon or steelhead — is that okay?
Absolutely. Trips are built for first-timers and experienced anglers alike.
Can kids come along?
Yes — families are welcome. Life jackets required for anyone under 14.
